Vasavi Malineni, M.D. is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who performs anterior segment surgeries. These procedures include cataract surgeries, laser glaucoma procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Dr. Malineni performs femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with premium lens implants (Toric, multifocal, and EDOF). She is trained on the Catalys Precision Laser System for cataract surgery and ORA.
Dr. Malineni attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (B.S. in Biochemistry, cum laude, with Honors and Phi Beta Kappa). She graduated from medical school and finished her Ophthalmology training at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. She joined Texas Eye Institute in August, 2004. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Malineni is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
