Dr. Amanda Andrade graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and received her Doctorate of Optometry from The University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed her clinical rotation at Mann Eye Institute where she received training in treatment and management of glaucoma as well as fitting a wide variety of contact lenses for a diverse patient population. Additionally, she completed her externship rotation at Family Vision Center in Kingwood, TX where she further advanced her skills in treating ocular disease, managing dry eye, and helping patients achieve their best vision through glasses and contacts.
Dr. Andrade is a certified Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, licensed to treat various ocular conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, corneal pathology and dry eye disease. She is skilled in foreign body removal and managing many acute ocular emergencies.
She currently sees patients in the Sugar Land, Southwest and Angleton offices alongside Dr. Michael R. Koop MD.
When she is not helping her patients, she enjoys hot yoga, hanging out with her dog, and trying new restaurants in Houston!
